Emilia's Learning Hub (ELH) is an after‑school support initiative led by Mrs. Emilia Ndoh, a social worker and doctoral researcher dedicated to inclusive education, academic success and long‑term empowerment for immigrant children.
Inclusive classroom practices translated into personalised coaching.
Supporting young learners integrating into the Belgian system.
Meet Emilia
As a guardian, aunt, and sister, I have already mastered the paradigm of resourcefulness. My training as a social worker with international experiences in Cameroon and Belgium has given me the right foundations and essential qualities required to be a resourceful teacher.
This, together with my love to teach young minds and future leaders, has prompted the genesis of Emilia's Learning Hub (ELH). This establishment examines how to best guide young students to help achieve academic and long‑term success.
The major goals of ELH is to find ways to respond to different challenges that children face in an educational system often oblivious to them, by providing promising programs, syllabus and interactive practices implemented within an after‑school support context.
Educational Background
I am a doctoral researcher (PhD) in social inclusion related issues. Emilia's Learning Hub is a translation of my research experience and skills, such as planning and organizing my work, into a teaching and coaching practice aimed at young people facing challenges in their studies.
My research is about developing inclusive classroom settings for students with a learning disability. In doing this research I experienced the importance of focusing on the individual talents, possibilities and needs of the students.
And that is exactly what I have been doing with my clients in the ELH: coaching them in their talents, possibilities and needs, and helping them overcome their challenges.
